After years of work, effort, & struggles the second Michigan Breeding Bird Atlas is finally up, online and most data is now accessible.
The website is still "under construction" but mostly, at this time is complete!
I spent most of this PM going over the data but there is much more to see on it! One could spend all day going over the 2002-2008 submissions/data that is posted. Once one gets the hang of it, and is interested in Michigan birds distribution, it is easy to navigate through this website!
Many, many people contributed as volunteers and/or paid field staff to this project and the original MBBA1. I can say I'm proud to have significantly contributed and worked on both the MBBAs throughout the state as a paid field staff worker and as a volunteer--especially the original Atlas 1983-1988 which was published as a journal in 1991! (Michigan State University Press) When ALL data is complete for MBBA2 the Atlas will be publicized and likely DVDs etc. will be available
Complete documentation and data for the original MBBA 1 is on this website!

Easy to use instructions for navigating through the site are posted.
