Hi All,

A brand new count is being conducted in the Eastern UP this season. We are excited to announce the first annual Neebish Island/Dunbar Forest count. This count is centered about 1/3 miles east of S. Riverside along 15 mile. The count is scheduled for December 28th with the 29th being a weather make up day.

Drop me a note with CBC in the subject line for additional details if you are interested in joining this inaugural count.

Thanks and Good Birding!

HI BZ! SO GLAD you stopped by! :D

For our new members.... Brian is an AWESOME birder as well as an AWESOME photographer.... and, ahem... gave me one of my first lessons in "cropping to the best shot"... which I bet you don't even remember, Brian! (It was back on NorthBirding!)

We've missed you.... hope you stop by more often!

Hi Sandy, Thanks for the kind words! Sorry, no I don't remember that specific lesson. You are going WAY back and I barely remember what I had for breakfast these days. Ha! Probably some non-sense about composition though.

Good Birding!

Thanks, Brian! The main reason I remember it, is that it is one of the "rotating" pics here up on the banner! It was one of my first photos taken with an "oh so fancy" Canon A710. (or it might have even been the original Nikon Coolpix!).... I really liked my pic, but you said.... "get rid of some (or, maybe it was MOST) of the sky".... Well, at first I felt miffed... UNTIL I "got rid of some (or MOST) of the sky"..... Couldn't believe how much better it looked! Forever "in your debt" for that one simple piece of advice! :D

BTW.... what's Breakfast?

I had breakfast for dinner this evening, does that count? Hopefully I have learned to offer constructive criticism more gently these days!

Breakfast for Dinner works for me! (or even the other way around!)
Your "criticism" (recommendation) was Spot On and no need to be more gentle! It was PERFECT! :D
