Hi All,

Hi All, The MIND CBC (Michigan Neebish-Dunbar), is scheduled for this Saturday Dec 30th. We will be meeting in Kinross to kick things off and split into groups. Some of the magnificent birds tallied in the first few years of this count include: Gray Jay, Common Redpoll, Pine and Evening Grosbeak, Snowy Owl, Bohemian Waxwing, Northern Shrike, Northern Goshawk, Saw-whet Owl, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Merlin and many more. We are also looking for a St. Joseph Island (Ontario) birder to cover a small sliver of the NW portion of the island that falls within the circle. Maybe the most unusual bird on the count so far was an Eastern Towhee a couple of years ago. Countdown dinner will again be at Cozy Corners near the Neebish ferry launch to compile the lists. Come one, come all, the more the merrier.

The circle picks up most of Neebish, the south 1/3 of Sugar Island, most of Munuscong Bay Wildlife Area, goes south not quite to Pickford and West about to the airport.

Thanks and good birding!
