Birds around your backyard

Robins already ;)

Postby Cindee » Fri Dec 18, 2015 11:58 am

Backyard is busy today. Must be the snow. I've had about 50 Pine Siskins for a couple of weeks now but today I had a couple of Robins show up. With pussy willows blooming on Monday while doing the CBC in Antrim County and Robins today, maybe spring is on the horizon (hope, hope, hope!)

Visitors in the last couple of weeks:
Pine Siskins
Purple Finches (10 today)
Red-bellied Woodpeckers
Downy Woodpeckers
Hairy Woodpeckers
Pileated Woodpeckers (very infrequently)
Blue Jays
Red-breasted Nuthatches
White-breasted Nuthatches
Tree Sparrows
Mourning Doves
Common Redpoll (ONE seen once)
Northern Shrike (one seen once, I wonder if that is why I haven't seen the Redpoll again...)
Robins (2 today)
Crows (occasionally)

Sounds like a really busy backyard Cindee! As much as I dislike the cold and snow anymore, let's hope spring doesn't show up before we get a few good Snowy photos :)
