I had one about that size as a pet as a kid. I caught it by throwing a beach towel over it. They tame down fast. I was able to hold it in my hands within a short time(2-3 days?). They make the neatest noises too, sort of a whiny, mumbley, complaining type noise. I heard it the other day while on a walk. There were two smallish Porkies in an oak tree and one was unhappy with the other and was telling it so. The one I tamed was released when I had to return home after spending the summer in rural Onieda co., Wisconsin, near Rhinelander. I doubt it is still up there, considering it would have to be 45 years old now.
