Hey Fred. I have never seen a snowy owl. I just showed the photo to my daughter and she is ready to jump in the car a go for a photo hunt for one.

If you really want to try for one the best chance would be to make the long drive to New Buffalo. There have been a lot seen over there and along the lake in Indiana. as I said we haven't seen the Snowy since Wed. Good Luck.
Do you have the BirdsEye ap for your cell? It gives the notable sightings for as large an area as you like.

I have more page "likes" than people on my friends list on facebook, almost all are birding and/or photography related. I have noticed quite a few folk from Michigan. I'd be happy to do some PM and some PR, Sandy, if I have your blessing.

Let me know!~

Glad I ran across this one. I thought I had my location listed, but didn't. I'm in Battle Creek, and do get over to Kalamazoo occasionally. Need to head southerly at some point. Great birds south of here.

If and when you head this way make sure you make time for the Kinderhook Lagoons and Rotary Park in Coldwater.
The lagoons were frozen over last week but with warmer weather coming they'll open back up. Rotary Park has some open water all year. We saw Myrtle Warblers there last Jan. If you need directions I'd be glad to help :}
We really enjoy our visits to Kellogg.
