Hello from Shiawassee NWR

Postby Steve Kahl » Tue Feb 12, 2013 3:31 pm

Hello All - I am the manager at Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. I am a lifelong birder and have participated in numerous bird monitoring and research endeavors. My current love is eBird. It has gotten me out in the field far more than I used to because I feel I have even more of a purpose to bird. I just registered and hope I can be an active contributor to the site and help keep members apprised of what's being seen and what's happening at the refuge.

Sincerely,

Steven F. Kahl

Hello and welcome to MBN. Like Sandy said, we are looking forward to hearing about what is happening at the refuge. As you can probably guess, we are all big fans of NWRs and places where 'our' birds hang out.

Great to have you on board. Have never been to your refuge but have thought about spending a day there a couple of times. Would love to see what opportunities it offers for photography, etc. Welcome aboard and join in when you can!!!

Hey Steve,

Welcome to this site! Probably won't see you again until we come to band your eagles!

See you soon.

Shiawassee NWR is one of the best places to bird. If only there weren't so many signs beyond which the area is closed.
