We first had to check out an Osprey nest at a little nearby park/ball field and were not disappointed! We had been over there earlier in the Spring, but at that time, there was no activity. At first, the nest looked empty...but then the birds popped out for us. Really wanted to see "Dad" bring in a fish, but no luck there. The Osprey have apparently nested there for years and are the unofficial Score Keepers for the little kids' ball games.

Then we found a HUGE field of Sunflowers...BONUS!!!! They were in perfect full bloom!
After that, we buzzed over to Kalkaska and visited the Seven Bridges area and Rugg Pond. Was good to see that the Trumpeters had cygnets this year. Last year we didn't see any swans there. Mom was tight with the "kids" and Dad was keeping busy chasing the geese off the pond.
