I made a trip to the UP the week between Christmas and New Years to do some winter photography and look for some birds. We did find a few Snowy's on the way home but they did not present any good photo opportunities. We had heard about some Bohemian Waxwings near Munising and looked for them but didn't find any. The day after the trip the reports said there were 3 large flocks of them in town...sometimes timing is everything. Anyway, I thought I would post a few photos from the trip, I hope you enjoy them.
A couple of the Lighthouse in Marquette
I love Wagner Falls and this is the first opportunity I had to photograph it in the winter
I took this view because it is close in composition to the spring and fall photos I have of this waterfall. All I need now is the summer photo.
Eagle Harbor Lighthouse
Here are a couple shots of some river ice formed below Bond Falls. I've always found these to be interesting and there are never two alike.
