Red-necked Phalaropes, WHOOPING Crane

Scott Jennex reports Red-necked Phalaropes yesterday at the Grayling & Shepard sewage ponds via Facebook. Also a Whooping Crane in Missaukee County! Further details unknown at this time.

I don't even know where the Grayling sewage ponds are?????

Wow! I read about the phalaropes on M. listers but I didn't hear about the Whooping Crane. If I had the day off tomorrow I would def. risk the trip over in the hopes that it would still be there.

Whooping Crane in Missaukee County? That's my neighborhood. Sure wish I knew where to look but may take a run over toward Merrit where the Sandhills often congegate and see if there is a white one.
