Missing dog in Wolverine area

Postby TinaTC » Fri Jan 23, 2015 8:52 pm

I know there are a few of you up this way. A springer spaniel/border collie mix was involved in a car accident on New Year's Eve on I-75 south of Indian River. She ran away from the scene and they are still looking for her. Last week she was spotted in Wolverine. They believe she may be trying to find her way back home to Traverse City. Here is the flyer. They also set up a Facebook page called SWEETIE DOG NEEDS OUR HELP. They post updates there. If you know anyone in the general area, please spread the word.

Sandy, hope it's okay to post this here. It's just breaking my heart. She originally came from AC PAW and her foster mom is heading the search for her.

Thanks Tina! Glad you posted it! Hoping that this beautiful girl is found safe.

She is also on the FB "Grand Traverse Lost and Found Pets" page.

This morning, a report of a thin border collie seen heading south on 127 in Roscommon County. If this is her. she has covered a lot of ground. So nerve-wracking, poor girl.

Sweetie's body was found last night near the crash site. Her owners now have closure. The owners did a fantastic job looking for her via every available avenue. My sincere sympathies to them for their loss.
RIP Sweetie......

Awww, I heard. This is so heartbreaking, but yes, at least they have closure. I'm glad they got to bury Sweetie at home.
