Animated Occurance Maps on eBird

These are really neat. You can watch how orchard orioles (or any bird) migrate into the US and tell when they get here, the route they take and where they stay and when they leave. Way cool.

Hope the link works. If not just go to eBird's home page and then look for it on the right side margin links. Not all birds are listed yet and watching a nonmigratory species is very dull but watching a Swainson's hawl or Lapland Longspur is very informative.

Wanna see a Winter Wren, go to the UP in summer, in winter you will have to go to Georgia.
